Biography

Joseph Anthony IV is a husband, father, worship leader, recording artist, pastor, and creative visionary whose life and ministry embody the power of faith, family, and perseverance. Known for his commanding yet compassionate voice, Joseph aims to bridge generations and cultures through heartfelt worship and authentic communication.

A native of East St. Louis, Illinois, Joseph’s ministry roots run deep. A fourth-generation preacher, his earliest memories of faith were formed in his grandmother’s living room, where her daily noonday prayers led to his first informal sermons among relatives and friends. He preached his first public sermon at the age of 12 and began leading worship in his teens, cultivating a voice and message marked by sincerity and conviction.

Joseph excelled academically, graduating as valedictorian of his high school class before earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Alabama A&M University. He later pursued a Master of Science in Public Health (Epidemiology) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where his passion for both data and discipleship began to merge: learning to observe people and patterns and care for the body and soul with equal devotion. That season of study and self-discovery would eventually become the foundation for his ministry’s thoughtful, holistic approach to life and worship.

After completing his education, Joseph followed God’s leading to Dallas, Texas, where his gifts in leadership, communication, and creativity converged. For almost two decades, he has poured his life into full-time ministry, serving wherever he was needed—as a worship leader, staff pastor, grief support facilitator, graphic designer or director of marketing. He, his family and core team are prayerfully preparing to plant a church in North Texas in 2026. 

His ministry extends far beyond the pulpit, embracing innovation and storytelling through his company, Jaylite Publications, LLC, a creative agency specializing in brand strategy, design, and marketing for corporate, nonprofit, and faith-based organizations.

Joseph’s life has not been without adversity. Having faced and overcome significant health challenges, he carries a living testimony of humility, resilience and faith. His journey through recovery deepened his gratitude, reshaped his perspective, and strengthened his conviction that worship is not just an expression, but a weapon and a witness. Every message he preaches and every note he sings comes from a place of tested faith and thanksgiving.

At the center of it all is his family. Joseph is the devoted husband of Talisha, and together they are raising their children—Zachary, Nathan, and Jade—with love, laughter, and legacy. As the only son among five successful siblings, born to Reverend Joseph & Cheryl Anthony III, he attributes his passion for ministry and family to the faith foundation established by his parents and nurtured by generations before him.

From leading worship to pastoral care, Joseph’s mission remains unchanged—to honor God with his gifts, to use every platform as an altar, and to create spaces where people can encounter God in a real and personal way. His voice carries the weight of testimony and the warmth of grace, reminding audiences everywhere that gratitude and faith still have a sound.
